Description

A creamy, cheesy Cajun-style pasta featuring crawfish tails, bell pepper, onion, celery, and a rich cheese sauce.

Ingredients

    • 1 lb fresh or frozen crawfish tails

    • 12 oz fettuccine pasta

    • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

    • 1 medium onion, diced

    • 2 garlic cloves, minced

    • 1 cup heavy cream

    • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Velveeta cheese

    • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

    • 1/2 tsp paprika

    • Salt and pepper to taste

    • Optional: 1 diced jalapeño for extra spic

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crawfish

    • If using frozen crawfish tails, thaw and pat dry.

    • Season lightly with Cajun seasoning and set aside.

2. Cook the Fettuccine

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

    • Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente.

    • Drain and toss with a drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking.

3. Make the Sauce

    • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

    • Sauté diced onion and garlic until fragrant.

    • Add heavy cream, Parmesan, and cheddar cheese. Stir until melted and smooth.

    • Season with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.

4. Combine and Cook

    • Stir in seasoned crawfish tails and simmer for 5–7 minutes.

    • Toss in the cooked fettuccine until fully coated with the sauce.

    • Optional: Add diced jalapeño for a spicy kick.

5. Garnish and Serve

    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan.

    • Serve hot with garlic bread or a crisp green salad.

Notes

Bake it in a casserole dish topped with Parmesan for a golden-brown finish.
